OUR STORY

We are the Gurchurans, Miguel and Evie, so passionate are we about creating a boutique coffee experience that we've traveled far and wide and trained for this with award winning baristas and a national champion roaster (USA)... all for the love of coffee and country.

Miguel runs the show behind the scenes with his 25 years of technical expertise and flair for design while Evie is the diva at the front of the house, developing menus and recipes, marketing with all 20 years of her experience in it and directing the social mission and impact of Java Coffee Bar.

Over the past six years, Java is without a doubt a standard for exceptional service and products, with three models, and locations, a “Pop Up Café” and Catering and Events Department.

We continue to be dedicated to building a local brand that we can export to the world, with Guyana's coffees and delicious food... because the world deserves a bit of deliciousness...
